Freshness guaranteed : roaster fresh coffee, vacuum packed

  • We roast to order, 3 or more days per week
  • We pack daily, roaster-fresh coffee into high density laminate bags with a one-way de-gassing valve.
  • These bags are then vacuum packed, forcing out all the air, to maintain long term freshness.
  • All our bags have a best before date of 9 months from the date of roasting.

Note : freshly roasted coffee emits natural gases for up to 8 days after roasting. The valve allows the gases to slowly release out the bag, whilst no air comes in. Thus the bags will soften within a day of being vacuum packed, rather than stay hard, as we pack so soon after roasting.
Traditionally coffee companies allow days to pass before they vacuum pack the coffee, so they can offer a hard, ‘brick shape’ bag of coffee.

Our coffee bags may look softer than you are used to … but as the coffee is packed truly roaster fresh, the coffee is still emitting it’s natural, aromatic gases within the bag, and will in fact have more aroma, flavour and crema than hard packs of vacuum packed coffee.

We use a Diedrich 24 kilo Roaster made in Idaho, USA. Fine engineering and the infra - red heat transfer method produces evenly roasted, consistent quality roasting in every batch. A delight to look at, a delight to use, and excellent standard of roasting day after day ... what more could we want in in our quest to produce delicious beans?
