New packaging for Australian grown coffee provides a timely boost for retailers
Northern Rivers based coffee roaster Zentveld’s Coffee is doing its bit to help cafés and retailers bounce back from COVID-19 lockdown by launching enticing new packaging for three of its most popular varieties.
Working with local graphic artists DesignLab, Zentveld’s chose Australian made, recycled packaging featuring hand-drawn artwork from Sydney Morning Herald’s award-winning artist Simon Letch.
Zentveld’s Owner and Creative Director Rebecca Zentveld says the rebranding exercise is typical of the flexibility shown by the hospitality industry in recent months.
“Like our cafés during Covid-19 times, we’ve had to think creatively and strategically about how to quickly bounce back when restrictions are lifted,” Rebecca says.
“Re-designing our branding and packaging for our Australian estate best sellers may help our cafés and retailers catch the eye of consumers as they get back to business. We are seeing an increased demand for Australian grown and roasted coffee after the general uncertainty and dissatisfaction with imports, from some countries, prevailing during the COVID-19 lockdown.”
She says consumers will almost hear the waves washing onto Wategos Beach when they see the laid back long boarder on the Byron Blend.
The spicy, rich, complex flavours of Reserve 01 and alchemy caramel syrup have inspired an equally sophisticated Mediterranean woman savouring her coffee.
Ernesto Roast, a smooth Italian style blend for lovers of black coffee, carries the image of a deeply satisfied Italian espresso connoisseur.
Zentveld’s is reporting a bumper crop is expected from its NSW farm this season, with augurs well for the supply of these and other Australian grown blends through 2020 and beyond.
Zentveld’s Coffee has been growing and roasting Australian and global blends for more than 25 years at its Newrybar plantation in the Byron hinterland.
