Zentveld’s Take Away Cups: Compostable!
We are very excited to be one of the first in Australia to offer completely Plastic Free coffee cups and lids. NO bioplastic lining even!
You can flatten and recycle, as you do paper or cardboard. Or compost them as We do!
The cups are printed with food grade ink – so harmless for our worms too.
Rebecca suggests popping the used Plastic Free coffee cup and sugar cane lid in a bucket of water first, to soak up moisture and make it easier for worms to break down the paper in your compost bin. They love it, you can see them breaking down in just a few weeks, in a well balanced, moist compost.
Or – pop some compost inside the cup and plant a seed or 2, of say, snow peas, cause they are fast .. then you can plant the whole thing in the ground, once the seedling is up. Yay!
As shown on Zentvelds insta/ fb and our blogs on Composting. Join us in turning waste into soil food.
Plastic free cups and lids now available in ‘American’ sizing of 6oz and 12oz.
The 4oz espresso cups still have lining and can be recycled if your Municipal waste operator allows such. ( They are made to be recycled, but that doesn’t mean Councils can – if ‘other’ branded cups affect the recycling plant.
. All paper used in the production of Zentveld’s take away cups is sourced from sustainable, managed plantations.
. All our cups are made by in Sydney or Brisbane, by Castaway Food Packaging.
. The sugar cane lids are currently imported – but they are working on making them soon. Stay tuned!
All cups are available to purchase in a Zentvelds medium box for a few sleeves, or a full carton of 1000.
